Albert Pujols, STLC (Baseball) Posted by The Fantasy Man on 7/29/2009
Pujols should still be a top 1 or 2 pick but with his recent elbow surgery to remove 5 bone spurs, don't be surprised if Pujols falls a few spots in drafts. He's a steal if he drops to 4th or 5th! He'll be ready by spring training! I'll still pick him #1 but I don't know if he'll top 2009 in 2010. It'll be close. 2009: .328/47HR/135RBI/124R/16SB/.443OBP Fantasy Man Projection: .330BA/38HR/125R... (Read More)

Prince Fielder, MILB (Baseball) Posted by The Fantasy Man on 10/15/2008
Fielder have almost identical stats but Fielder comes out on top because he'll get you a slightly higher BA and OBP as Fielder will draw more walks and less K's. Plus, he's a better play in H2H leagues that count BB and K. Fielder is in a decent lineup, solid growth the last few years and is still quite young. He's a no brainer as my power foundation. However, what's his ceiling? 2009: .300/46... (Read More)

Ryan Howard, PHIPh (Baseball) Posted by The Fantasy Man on 10/20/2008
Not a huge difference here from Fielder with the exception of BA and OBP in Roto leagues. The difference comes in H2H leagues that count BB and K's. Howard turns 30 in November so he's in the midst of his prime years. I don't think anyone senses any regression of power coming after watching him in the post season. I'm expecting about the same as the last two years. Better 2nd half player too! ... (Read More)

Mark Teixeira, NYY (Baseball) Posted by The Fantasy Man on 10/21/2008
First year as a Yankee with a big contract and he delivered! The one knock I have on Tex, and I love Tex because he's a Yankee but you have to be getting sick of the slumps year in and year out. He's a great fantasy pick in the late first round for sure, but for me, I just can't take the half year slumps and he went through a couple of them this year. I'll take Tex late first round if he falls to ... (Read More)

Matt Wieters, BALO (Baseball) Posted by The Fantasy Man on 12/28/2008
Wieters was super hot late in 2009 which helped put him on the map for 2010. There's already websites/experts hyping up the young Wieters (age 23) as his size (6'5" 230) and major league readiness could propel him to elite catcher status by the end of 2010. I rank him 4th among fantasy catchers because realistically, there's not much to look forward too after Wieters at the catcher position. So yo... (Read More)

Jorge Posada, NYY (Baseball) Posted by The Fantasy Man on 12/16/2008
People will look at his age (38) and the fact that he only had 383 AB in 2009 and the hope is that they'll shy away on draft day. Talk about V-Mart being consistent, well Posada ranks right up there. He had that dream 2007 season where he hit .338 but other than that you can expect .280/20/85 pretty much every year. Posada is still ticking despite his age and if you've watched him this post season... (Read More)

Brian McCann, ATLB (Baseball) Posted by The Fantasy Man on 10/13/2009
Did you know that McCann will only be 26 in February? It feels like he's been around forever! Dude still hasn't hit his prime yet! The only reason I move McCann down to 3rd under V-Mart is because McCann has a slight injury proneness problem and always seems to miss some time. Almost as bad as Mauer, and he only amassed 480 AB this year and never more than 509 in a season (2008). Imagine what McCa... (Read More)

Victor Martinez, BOSR (Baseball) Posted by The Fantasy Man on 10/13/2009
What can I say here that's any different than any other year? He's a model of consistency. When you see .300/20/100 written somewhere, you think V-Mart! I mean let's be honest, anyone think he's not going to do that again in 2010? Playing in Fenway actually helps boost up that HR total a bit so I say 30 HR is pushing it but certainly possible. Hits behind Ellsbury and Pedroia, more walks than K's,... (Read More)

Joe Mauer, MINT (Baseball) Posted by The Fantasy Man on 10/15/2008
This guy was unbelievable! Finally lived up to the hype. If he wins the MVP, he deserves it although my man is still Derek Jeter! Mauer posted career highs in hits, HR, RBI, BA, OBP, and SLG. The pros seem that this is the second consecutive year that Mauer proved he could do it, he turns 27 in April (Magical?), and he's a big size at 6'5"225lbs so it's nice to see that power fill out. The cons ar... (Read More)

Kenny Britt, TENT (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 9/15/2009
On quick glance of the box score, you’ll think that Britt had his breakout performance in just his first regular season game. Not so fast, but there is much reason for optimism for Titans fans. Britt’s final stat line (4 receptions on 6 targets for 85 yards) doesn’t tell the whole story. The majority of those yards came on a 57 yard reception at the end of the 1st half on a busted coverage from... (Read More)

Zach Miller, OAKR (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 9/10/2009
Nothing personal against Miller, but he’s going to be in for a rough match-up with the Chargers. Miller was drafted this summer as a starting TE; so many teams don’t have the luxury of sitting Miller down especially in the all important Week 1. The Chargers will harass Russell all night long, and with Chaz Schilens out you can be sure that Eric Weddle and company will know where Miller is on eve... (Read More)

He's hit a few dingers this week. I'm feeling a huge power surge to end the month of September on a high note to put himself in the top 10 2B's for 2010. He's one of those guys whose going to slump and be inconsistent all season, but hit 20+ HR with a terrible BA and then have an amazing September to try to get all of us to forget about the inconsistent season! I see it coming!... (Read More)

Does anyone realize that this guy has 31 HR so far this season? Unbelievable. Does he crack the top 25 picks in drafts next year? I think he'd need more SB's for that but he's certainly a top 6 2B in 2010 fantasy drafts.... (Read More)

Kenny Britt, TENT (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/27/2009
Kenny Britt is taking full advantage of Nate Washington’s injury and is likely one of the starting WR’s on opening day for the Titans. James Davis, CLEB (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/27/2009
Former Ravens and Browns scout Daniel Jeremiah has been high on Cleveland running back James Davis this preseason. Davis won’t pose a threat to Jamal Lewis’s job yet, but he likely has vaulted himself past Jerome Harrison on the depth chart. Davis could have decent fantasy value this year with 5-10 carries per game if Cleveland isn’t playing from way behind.... (Read More)

Mark Sanchez, NYJ (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/27/2009
Mark Sanchez had a much different result in his first preseason start than the success he enjoyed against the Rams a week earlier. Sanchez had a deer in headlights look about him when the cameras zoomed in for a close-up as he faced the vaunted Baltimore defense. Sanchez bounced back nicely with a touchdown pass to Leon Washington on a wheel route in the second quarter. Sanchez didn’t appear to... (Read More)

Hakeem Nicks, NYG (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/27/2009
Hakeem Nicks will start the season as a reserve with the anticipated news out of New York that Domenik Hixon and Steve Smith are atop the Giants depth chart at WR. Nicks will supplant Hixon at some point this season because he is too talented to keep off the field, and Hixon will have to prove that he can get open against top flight defensive backs now focused on stopping him.... (Read More)

Knowshon Moreno, DENB (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/18/2009
Newly signed Knowshon Moreno got into the game against the 49ers and suffered a mild knee sprain. Reports indicate he should miss 1-2 weeks and be ready for the start of the season. This news makes Moreno an even greater value on draft day, as he will probably fall another round or two on this injury news. Moreno is worth the risk, and could be a vital part to your fantasy football team this se... (Read More)

Michael Crabtree, SF49 (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/18/2009
Michael Crabtree still has not signed his rookie deal yet, and as each day goes by he appears less likely to make an impact in his rookie season. The rumors that he would sit out the entire season to reenter the 2010 Draft are just that. He would not go higher than 10th next season. I won’t bump down Crabtree in my rankings yet because of his dynasty value, but you might want to start looking a... (Read More)

Kenny Britt, TENT (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/18/2009
I was surprised to see Kenny Britt’s stat line against the Buccaneers: 5 catches for 89 yards including a 37 yard touchdown catch from Vince Young. He did limp off the field with an apparent ankle injury, but it did not appear to be serious. You might want to start giving strong consideration to spending a late round pick on Britt if he is able to produce as he did in his debut.... (Read More)

Donald Brown, INDC (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/18/2009
Donald Brown looks like he will live up to the hype this season. He had a much better burst than Addai did, and once Brown picks up the blitz pickups he should be the lead back for the Colts. Addai is much better suited for a committee than as a lead back in the NFL.... (Read More)

Matthew Stafford, DETL (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/18/2009

Mark Sanchez, NYJ (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/18/2009
Mark Sanchez looked great in his short stint when he entered the game in the 2nd quarter against the Rams. He set the tone early with his 48 yard pass to David Clowney, and he just might have the “it” factor it takes to be a successful NFL Quarterback. Sanchez’s enthusiasm and body language is that of someone who wants to be the starter, while Clemens looked like he was going through the motions... (Read More)

Hakeem Nicks, NYG (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/5/2009
You’ve seen the highlights on YouTube. Hakeem Nicks made a sensational behind the back catch against West Virginia in last years Meineke Car Care Bowl on his way to a dominating 8 catch, 217 yard, 3 touchdowns receiving. James Laurinaitis didn’t get a lot of coverage leading up to the draft, but the Rams were more than willing to bring him into the fold as the second round selection. Coach Spagnuolo can already envision Laurinaitis as his Antonio Pierce in the middle of the defense. The addition of Middle Linebacker James Laurinaitis will help the Rams out at two positions; Will Witherspoon shifts over to his m... (Read More)

Chris Wells, ARIC (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/5/2009
Jim Trotter of SI.com writes in his Rookie Review that Beanie Wells sustained an ankle injury during the first practice of camp. Trotter called it a freak injury as two players rolled on his leg from behind. Wells will get drafted too early for you to seriously consider h... (Read More)

Shawn Nelson, BUF (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/5/2009
Nelson landed in a great situation in Buffalo after they’ve added Terrell Owens and jettisoned TE Robert Royal out the door. Nelson had a great senior campaign at Southern Miss, and an impressive Senior Bowl and Scouting Combine. Nelson propelled himself into the 4th round... (Read More)

Brandon Pettigrew, DETL (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/5/2009
Pettigrew was the most complete TE available this year, and the Lions selected him 20th overall. Pettigrew is a superior blocker, and will become an extension of the offensive line on running plays. His blocking ability will help increase his potential fantasy stats because he’ll be a three down player immediately for the hapless Lions. Pettigrew’s greatest value in fantasy football will come... (Read More)

Josh Freeman, TBB (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/5/2009
Don’t expect to see much of Freeman on the field in 2009. If the Bucs fall out of playoff contention late in the season, Freeman could get a few starts like JaMarcus Russell and Jay Cutler did at the end of their rookie campaigns. Head Coach Rex Ryan will ask Sanchez to manage the game and convert the 3rd and long situations their running game will put them in. Sanchez may never be a top fantasy QB, but you will feel confident ha... (Read More)

Matthew Stafford, DETL (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/5/2009
As of right now, the Lions are entertaining the idea of throwing Stafford to the wolves for the starting quarterback job Week 1. Much like Jay Cutler, Stafford will look like an all-pro on one throw and then leaving your head shaking on the next. Stafford has the talent to develop in... (Read More)

Darrius Heyward-Bey, OAKR (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/5/2009
The pundits may have had it right; Al Davis might have finally lost it. Darius Heyward-Bey isn’t nearly as bad of a prospect he’s been made out to be. In fact had he gone later in Round 1, the concerns about being a reach wouldn’t be there and he would be able to slowly adapt to his new surroundings. Now with the pressure of being the first wide receiver drafted, all eyes will be on him very close... (Read More)

Kenny Britt, TENT (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/5/2009
Britt is probably the one wide receiver from the 2009 draft class where there is such a discrepancy on his scouting report and future prospects in the NFL. The Sporting News compared him to Larry Fitzgerald, while others had him as a 2nd or 3rd round prospect. Everything seems to be in good order: top recruit at Rutgers, high level of production in the tough Big East and great size. The questions ... (Read More)

Brian Robiskie, CLEB (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/5/2009
Robiskie could be a top sleeper in PPR leagues in 2009. Don’t be fooled by Robiskie’s sub-par season. The Buckeyes started the Terrelle Pryor era earlier than expected and though they won 10 games, their passing attack regressed with the freshman under center. While Robiskie won’t win many footraces, this coach’s son will develop into an excellent possession receiver opposite Braylon Edwards. R... (Read More)

Jeremy Maclin, PHIE (Football) Posted by RookieBlitz.com on 8/5/2009
The Miami Dolphins are still trying to determine if Ted Ginn Jr. can ever develop into a true #1 wide receiver three seasons later. Multi position eligibility and 20+HR/100RBI potential could make Stewart a steal next year. He’ll have to cut down on the K’s but you can draft him as your primary 2B and expect a better BA in 2010. Looking at his swing and size, there is no doubt he can hit 30HR at some point too. Stewart originally came up as a 3B so you know the power is there. 2nd year and with some consistency really has the potential to break out. He's got Adrian Peterson break out potential and is my favorite sleeper heading into 2009/10.... (Read More)

Reggie Bush, NOS (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/29/2009
He's all over the field and his fantasy stats are all over the place too, maybe this year we get some kind of consistency. I just can't rank him higher until we see if he can show any kind of consistency. Bump up a few spots for PPR leagues.... (Read More)

Ryan Grant, GBP (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/29/2009
Super slow 1st half last season but picked it up in the 2nd half, his stock could rise quickly. Makes for a nice pick as a second pack at the end of the 2nd round.... (Read More)

Ronnie Brown, MIAD (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/29/2009
Brown has 1st round potential if he stays healthy. Simple as that. Scored 5 TD's in that game last year and then after that he didn't do much. Age 27 and only in the league 4 years so there is still time to break out finally.... (Read More)

Steve Slaton, HOUT (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/29/2009
2nd year, will probably crack top 10 by seasons end, lots of receiving yards and you can certainly bump him up a few spots in PPR leagues. Ran for 1200+ yards last season and started as the 3rd RB on the depth chart. Now he's the primary RB and shouls have a nice follow up season.... (Read More)

Larry Johnson, KCC (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/29/2009
How the mighty have fallen, he's not old, he's still powerful, and now has an offense around him. I like Johnson to have a sneaky bounce back year. Everyone is down on this guy. Yes, he's 30 and has done poop the last few years, but he's oozing with a "come out of nowhere" type of season. I mean, he's only been playing in the NFL for 6 seasons, its not like he's totally banged up. I just have a hu... (Read More)

Marshawn Lynch, BUF (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/29/2009
3rd full year means stats could get a nice boost as Buffalo offense is getting better and the field opens up with the addition of Terrell Owens. This will be Lynch's best year but he'll probably have to share the TD's with TO.... (Read More)

Marion Barber, DALC (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/29/2009
He's a bruising back, does his best work in the 4th quarter but was somewhat disappointing last season knocks him down a bit. Here is another guy who was top 10 last season who could out produce his draft position.... (Read More)

Joseph Addai, INDC (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/29/2009
I'd love to rank him higher but he's always hurt! What else can I say? Great speed and skills but this guy can't stay on the field. Addai is however somewhat of a sleeper here in the second round. I say that because he was a top 5 pick last season and he's only been in the league 3 years.... (Read More)

DeAngelo Williams, CARP (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/29/2009
He's a guy who can bust out a 90 yard TD run in the 1st quarter and then do nothing the rest of the game. What I like about Williams is that he's playing for a contract this year and with Jonathon Stewart waiting in the wings and splitting time, Williams can follow up last years break out with something better. He's slightly risky this early but the pay off could be huge!... (Read More)

Chris Johnson, TENT (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/29/2009
Even with LenDale White getting goaline carries, Johnson will be a a top-notch player this season with stupid break out speed and vision. Johnson had 10 TD's in 2008 while splitting time with White. Expect Johnson to exceed last years numbers.... (Read More)

Brandon Jacobs, NYG (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/29/2009
Monster size, biggest RB out there, overall carries should increase with Derrick Ward out of the picture. This dude is 6'4" and can bulldoze 5 defensive linemen at once. He won't make many receptions but his TD total should increase a bit and his offensive line is intact! He's also only 27.... (Read More)

Clinton Portis, WASR (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/29/2009
Still plenty left in the tank, only 27 years old so this could be his best season yet! Assuming he stays healthy he's pretty reliable week to week, a work horse, with a good offensive line. He's been in the league 7 years so most people are looking for the next Adrian Peterson. Grab Portis in the mid to late first round and you'll be happy this season.... (Read More)

Frank Gore, SF49 (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/29/2009
If he can stay healthy, Gore has the potential to be a beast if used correctly. He's the focal point of the offense but if the 49ers can spread the ball around enough, Gore could have another productive season. He only missed 2 games last year but he averaged 4.3 yards per carry which is enticing. He's got good hands and speed, you can't let him go much further than this.... (Read More)

Matt Forte, CHB (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/29/2009
Great receiver in which he led the Bears with 63 receptions. I don't think Kevin Jones will be much of a factor so I'm looking for a nice follow up season with the addition of Jay Cutler. Most will tell you that Forte could lose touches with a QB like Cutler but being such a great receiver, I think you can expect the opposite.... (Read More)

Garrett Jones, PITPi (Baseball) Posted by The Fantasy Man on 7/28/2009
Has 10 HR and batting .330 in 88 AB. Looks like the Pirates OF going forward could be McCutchen, Jones and Delwyn Young…if the Pirates are smart! Jones was consistently a 20+HR guy in the minors. He’s a little older at 28, monster size at 6’4” 245lbs, a decent fielder, and has 1B eligibility. He’s not a huge K guy so he has that working for him.... (Read More)

Delwyn Young, PITPi (Baseball) Posted by The Fantasy Man on 7/28/2009
Batting .300+ in 152 AB this season. Averaged about .300/18HR the last 4 years in the minors and could finally get a full-time chance to play, he’s 27. He's a better option than most on that team, has experience and if the Pirates trade Freddy Sanchez, Young could get 2B eligibility as well!... (Read More)

Willy Aybar, TBR (Baseball) Posted by The Fantasy Man on 7/28/2009
Batting .282/8HR in 163AB with multi-position eligibility. Aybar has a solid bat, decent power and ability to hit .300. He’s 26 but hasn’t had much of a chance to play full-time. He’ll be an important part of the Rays pennant chase this season so be ready to see more AB’s down the stretch. The ability to play all over the field will help him play almost every day.... (Read More)

Grady Sizemore, CLEI (Baseball) Posted by ringers19 on 7/28/2009
What's up with this dude's elbow? I have a trade offer out there and wondering what to do. The elbow seems to be a problem but I remember everyone said the same about Pujols last year! The Indians suck and if they trade VMart, there goes any protection for Sizemore. Its tough, but any HR/SB I can get I'll be happy and he hit a HR the other night. I think he's worth the risk. If his elbow was real... (Read More)

Jimmy Rollins, PHIPh (Baseball) Posted by thetrueguru on 7/19/2009
So far July has been outstanding for Rollins. Through the 19th, Rollins is 23/61 batting .377 in the month. While his batting average has improved greatly, he has only one home run and eight RBIs in the month. He has scored 13 runs and stole six bases in the month. Overall he has raised his .24 points from .207 to .231. If you held on this could be a great sign.... (Read More)

Huston Street, COLR (Baseball) Posted by thetrueguru on 7/19/2009
Huston Street recorded his 23rd save of the season, but only his fourth save of the slow month of July. Street dominated the Padres and struck out two on only 11 pitches. Street has been outstanding for along time now and does not look like he is slowing down. Something changed in Street after he lost his job earlier this season. Whatever it was, it has created a monster closer that will easily re... (Read More)

Joe Nathan, MINT (Baseball) Posted by thetrueguru on 7/19/2009
Joe Nathan wasn't as lucky! He pitched a near perfect inning, but raised his WHIP slightly by giving up a single hit. Ok, maybe the sarcasm isn't coming through the writing. Nathan looked outstanding again and is on one of the greatest streaks I've ever seen for a closer. Nathan hasn't given up an earned run since May 15 and he has 18 straight saves without blowing one. It was Nathan's fourth save... (Read More)

Mariano Rivera, NYY (Baseball) Posted by thetrueguru on 7/9/2009
Mariano Rivera continued his hot streak by closing out the game verus the Twins 4-3. His ERA and WHIP continue to drop and he is only two saves away from the league leader Brian Fuentes. He has the tird lowest WHIP of all closers behind only Joe Nathan and Jonathan Broxton. If you owned Rivera as of May 16 when he had only seven saves and a 3.38 ERA, you were heavily dissappointed. However sin... (Read More)

Francisco Rodriguez, NYM (Baseball) Posted by thetrueguru on 7/8/2009
Francisco Rodriguez got a nasty save today over the Dodgers 5-4. He entered the game with the score 5 -3 and quickly gave up a bomb to Manny Ramirez. He then walked a batter, struck out a batter, and then gave up a hit to Russell Martin. Luckily he made the perfect pitch to Andre Either to get the double play. Scott Downs, TORB (Baseball) Posted by thetrueguru on 7/8/2009

B.J. Ryan, TORB (Baseball) Posted by thetrueguru on 7/8/2009
There are many reasons why the Blue Jays lose and this is one of them. The Blue Jays released Ryan before tonight's game and activated Scott Downs. Granted Ryan is pitching poorly this year, but releasing the left-handed veteran just isn't smart. First off, its the Blue Jays fault for rushing him back last season in record time after Tommy John surgery. Then he has a slow start this... (Read More)

Kevin Gregg, CHC (Baseball) Posted by thetrueguru on 7/7/2009
Kevin Gregg has been insanely hot. Since June 13th, Gregg is 3-0 with four saves. He has dropped is ERA down to 3.52 from 4.13 and he has had impeccable control walking only three batters in that time span. From April through June 12 he had 13 walks, so Gregg's control is a big reason behind his success in the last three weeks. Jose Valverde, HOUA (Baseball) Posted by thetrueguru on 7/7/2009
Jose Valverde got his seventh save of the season. I've been worried about his performance lately, but today he looked outstanding. He struck out the side and pitched a perfect inning. Jason Frasor, TORB (Baseball) Posted by thetrueguru on 7/7/2009
Jason Frasor got his third save for the Blue Jays, but it didn't come easy. Lucky for Frasor he had a three run league or we would be saying, "down goes Frasor!" He gave up two runs and needed 29 pitches to end the inning. This performance ballooned his ERA to 2.40, but his WHIP is still excellent at 1.03.... (Read More)

Joakim Soria, KCR (Baseball) Posted by thetrueguru on 7/7/2009

Brian Wilson, SFG (Baseball) Posted by thetrueguru on 7/7/2009
Brian Wilson is easily one of the most underrated closers in the game today. Tonight he got his 22nd save of the season, but it wasn't a pretty one. He gave up two runs on three hits and a walk. You probably got him later in the draft and he has produced results for his owners, but at a cost. For a closer, he is hurting your ERA (3.79), WHIP (1.29), and is average in strikeouts. As we approach the... (Read More)

Vladimir Guerrero, ANAA (Baseball) Posted by thetrueguru on 7/7/2009

LaDanian Tomlinson, SDC (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/3/2009
This is a make or break season for LT. He has to prove if he's done or not, and he's only 30. Every analyst is going to tell you he's on the decline and maybe so, but LT did however suffer toe and groin injuries last season, so I can't go too crazy that he might be in a decline. Many will say he's finished but if you get 1500 yards and 12TD, I'll take that at the end of the 1st round! Bad new... (Read More)

Brian Westbrook, PHIE (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/3/2009
Every week I play him, he kills me! Ranks #1 in my opinion for receiving yards and PPR leagues! Had knee surgery in off season and ankle surgery in June to remove bone spurs. He may miss the beginning of camp and he's good to miss a few games during the year but when he plays, he's gold. He's the Chipper Jones of fantasy football! You might want to handcuff Westbrook with LeSean McCoy being that W... (Read More)

Steven Jackson, STLR (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/3/2009
This is the last year I rank Jackson in the top 5...unless he actually lives up to his potential! Monster size and if he stays healthy, should be his best year yet! Of his last 5 games in 2008, Jackson had 90+ yards in 4 of them scoring 3 TD. He's also a great receiver. This is the year he becomes an elite as he'll get a heavy workload and a ton of receptions. The rest of the offense stinks.... (Read More)

Michael Turner, ATLF (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/3/2009
He's for real, top notch offense, should continue where he left off last year. Everyone is dubbing him as the "safe" pick. He's durable and although he had a couple of forgettable games in 2008, overall he was stellar. Expect close to the same type of production in 2009. I Rank Jones-Drew over Turner because of the extra receptions and receiving yards you get from MJD. ... (Read More)

Maurice Jones-Drew, JAC (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/3/2009
He's small in height but dude has burst! Analysts feel this will be his best year yet since the Jags released Fred Taylor. Greg Jones will be in the mix for some goalline carries but this will be a huge year for Jones-Drew who also had 565 receiving yards in 2008! He's only 24, the unquestioned starter, and a fantastic receiver and that's why he's probably #2 on your list!! ... (Read More)

Adrian Peterson, MINV (Football) Posted by thefantasyman on 7/3/2009
What can I say, he's best all around. Break out speed and skills, big play potential, 1760 yards on 363 carries and 10 TD's last season. There's a good chance he'll break the 300+ carry mark again which makes him the clear cut #1.... (Read More)

Chris Carpenter, STLC (Baseball) Posted by TheFantasyFix on 7/1/2009
Carpenter's last start was a glitch on the radar (6/30/09 giving up 6 ER). In his previous 5 starts he had 36.2 IP with only 11 ER. He is an Ace by all definitions, and the ability to bounce back with a strong outing will show his resilience. Start him with no restraint. ... (Read More)
